The Vaughan Community Health Centre - a member-agency of the Vaughan Health Campus of Care - is a new, not-for-profit, community-governed organization that will be opening in the new year at 9401 Jane Street (just north of Rutherford Road).

The VCHC will provide primary health care, social services, and illness prevention programs to the residents of the City of Vaughan. In particular, we will be serving those who are having problems accessing health care services due to culture, language, age, chronic illness, or the like. Our main focus will be on youth, seniors and people with mental health and addiction issues.

Our services will be provided in different languages, within a safe, accessible, and comfortable environment. In order to ensure continuity of care, our registered clients cannot receive primary health care elsewhere. Thus, we will not be a walk-in clinic.

We recognize that health is more than just the absence of illness or disease; and consequently, as part of the health promotion framework of our services, we will work in partnership with other community-based health and social service organizations to address individual, family, and community needs.

Together with our own multidisciplinary staff team - comprising physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, health promoters, counsellors, community health workers, nutritionists, rehabilitation therapists and chiropodists - we are committed to the delivery of high quality services. In addition, our health promotion team will focus on community initiatives, working to maintain and improve the health of our clients, their families and Vaughan’s diverse communities.
